Ocean Unit Study

In this unit study we learned about oceans. We studied the Earth's oceans, ocean life, and the beach. This unit study is geared for early elementary students with 9 days worth of lessons.  I did this unit study with my 1st grader and I would recommend it for Kindergarten through 3rd grade.  J had so much fun with this study, I think we will have to do a few more in depth studies about a some of the animals that we studied.  He is such an animal lover.

I got The Little Seashore Activity Book by Anna Pomaska for J to do on the airplane on the way to the ocean.

J likes to draw so he drew a creature from It's Fun to Draw Sea Creatures by Mark Bergin each day.

J had fun doing the activities in Amazing Creatures of the Sea by Faber Castell.

J loves to build things, so we barrowed these Marines Creatures Bloco Toys from his cousin.

 Ocean Crafts

I used a blue paper and clothes pins to make an ocean scene with our crafts from this unit study.  The boys really like to have their activities displayed.
