Colors Unit Study

In this unit study we learned about each of the colors. I did this unit study with my tot but I think that the lapbooks and some of the other projects would turn out better with Preschool age children. This study has 13 days of lessons, but I didn't move on to the next color until he knew the one we were working on.  So some colors, like red, took a few days where as his favorite color, yellow, just took one day!

Day 1- Red
Day 2- Yellow
Day 3-Blue
Day 4- Green
Day 5- Purple
Day 6- Orange
Day 7- Rainbow
Day 8- Black
Day 9- Brown
Day 10- White
Day 11- Gray
Day 12- Pink
Day 13- Review

Color Clown
T painted a piece of paper each day that we learned a color and I cut it out in a balloon shape.  Then I put it on the wall with this color clown that I had made years ago from poster board.

Flash back to when J was 2 and learning his colors.  He made a color clown too, I love looking back when my boys were tiny!

Colors Board Book
I used this 8x8 Chunky Bare Book to put some of T's paintings in.  I chose one from each color and made the book about colors. I will tell you how we made each painting on that day's lessons plans.
